Dog Lovers Unite: Team Irvington Mutt Strut
Irvington Buzz

Dear Irvington Residents and Friends,

irvington_lost_dog.jpgI just recently formed Team Irvington for Mutt Strut, the day the track goes to the dogs, on Sunday, April 26, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Why don't you join Team Irvington? All proceeds go towards providing shelter and comfort for thousands of animals at the Humane Society of Indianapolis.

It will be an incredibly fun day of goodwill and fellowship for dogs and owners alike. We need your support, so please join Team Irvington! You can also register as an individual or make a donation to Team Irvington.

Please pass the word on to anyone who may like to join!!! The bigger the team the better (and more fun!) Thank you so much for all of your support and we look forward to seeing you at Mutt Strut!

All the best -

Amy Douglas

IGI Update, April 2, 2009 - Kilowatt Ours TONIGHT ... and more
Irvington Buzz

Greetings from the Irvington Green Initiative!

I hope your Earth Hour was full of candlelit ambiance - if you were at Lazy Daze, it definitely was! Brian Pitzer and other musicians kept us rockin' (acoustically) throughout the hour and the place was packed. Stop by and thank Jeff for hosting the party, if you get a chance!

April 25 is fast approaching, with both the Great Irvington Cleanup and Earth Day Indiana on that busy Saturday. Will you join me and other volunteers that day in picking up trash, painting, helping with recycling, and otherwise beautifying our neighborhood? See below for details on the cleanup, as well as information on:

  • Kilowatt Ours, 9pm TONIGHT on WFYI-20 / IPL renewable energy option
  • Invoke Yoga Studio's Go Green Challenge, Fridays in April, 5:45pm (starting this Friday!)
  • Eco-panel at Midwest Peace and Justice Summit, 10:45am Saturday, IUPUI
  • Bring a Friend to Irvington week, April 6-12
  • LED Green Lighting workshop, Bookmama's, 1:30pm Saturday, April 11
