Garden Tour Artist Reception
Friday, July 25th, 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Bona Thompson Center, 5350 University Avenue
The Irvington Historic Society and Irvington Garden Club are hosting a reception celebrating the artists who painted in the gardens during the Irvington Garden Tour.  Come see the paintings created from these beautiful gardens, meet the artists (including Laura!), and visit with your garden club friends. The Bona Thompson Center will also display art from the Irvington Guild of Artists.  
Reminder: Indianapolis Critical Mass bicycling group will meet on Fri. Monday, July 28, 7 p.m. - Irvington Garden Club work day at Webster Pocket Park (behind Marsh on Webster Street).  This is a park that the club and its immediate neighbors maintain. Ed Myers is organizing the duties and it is also a very social event. Bring picnic items to share as well as tools, gloves, kneeling pad, etc. Overflow parking is available behind the park. Reminder: The five-part workshop on Living Lean and Green starts Aug. 6 at the Irvington Public Library. This seminar teaches cost-effective ways to lower energy bills, reduce energy consumption and improve family health. Attendees will receive a free energy-saving give-away. Edibles is now accepting prepaid orders for fresh meat.  The meat is provided by Gunthorp farms of Lagrange IN.  Their difference is that they pasture-raise all their animals. NEVER any pesticides, antibiotics, GMO's or synthetic fertilizers.  Please visit them at www.gunthorpfarms.com   We will take prepaid orders until 2PM Sunday afternoon as the order must be turned in by Monday morning.  Gunthorp will also offer fresh Goose and Turkey!
